MSRDC obtains 75% of land for a new commune on the Samruddhi corridor | Nagpur News

Nagpur: One of the 20 townships proposed under Samruddhi Mahamarg is about to become reality in Arvi tehsil of Wardha district. Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) received 75% of the required land. Named Krishi Samruddhi Kendra, the new townships are seen as a difficult task, as land is acquired through a system of pooling land instead of direct purchase or acquisition.
MSRDC vice president and general manager Radheshyam Mopalwar inspected works on the corridor as well as the site of the proposed new township in Arvi tehsil on Saturday, and other packages in western Maharashtra on Sunday. “The main works of Ensemble I (from Nagpur to Wardha district) have been completed. The work of the last step is in progress. We are forcing the contractors to speed up the works so that the section from Nagpur to Shirdi can start whenever a decision is made by the government. Otherwise, the contractors have time until July 15, 2022. We would have completed the work 1.5 years in advance if the Covid-19 pandemic had not struck, ”he said.
Mopalwar added that the notification of the toll charges will be issued within 15 days. “I also reviewed the development of tolls, 20 gas pumps, emergency management systems and other basic equipment. We plan to extend the highway to the district of Gondia, for which a call for tenders will be launched on Monday, ”he said.
During his visit in August, MSRDC Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the section from Nagpur to Shirdi would start operating by the end of December. MSRDC is concerned about the delay of the I-packet.
MSRDC officials said: “The achievement of only 5 km by 31 km remains in Package I and will be completed by the end of December. Work on the 140 structures, including flyovers, bridges, underpasses and overpasses, etc. have been completed. Some 65% of the work on the wildlife viaducts is complete, ”they said.
According to data provided to Mopalwar by MSRDC officials, the proposed new township at Arvi tehsil will require 1,169.19 hectares of which 75% is in the possession of the MSRDC to date. This is one of six nodes selected to be developed under Phase I and only one in Nagpur Division. The town will be located on either side of the 120-meter-wide expressway in six mouzas.
A team of MSRDC officials led by additional collector Nishikant Sukhe reportedly maintained their goal of completing the acquisition of 90 percent of the land within the next two months so that work can begin in six months. “The municipal plan is being prepared by a private company in Ahmedabad. We were able to secure land for road construction, as the project affected people received five times the ready-made design value and the sales statistics value immediately after handing over the land. For the municipalities, we take land under a land pooling system. In this framework, the PAPs would obtain 30% of their total land in a managed manner after 3-4 years. Therefore, PAPs take time, ”MSRDC officials said.
After land handover, PAPs will receive Rs 30,000 per acre for non-irrigated land, Rs 45,000 per acre for irrigated land or seasonal cash crops, and Rs 60,000 per acre for irrigated land as compensation. crops for a period of 10 years. This amount will be increased by 10% each year to take inflation into account.
