National Bank Park consolidating offices

Downtowner Plaza branch closing on April 8
COSHOCTON — Park National Bank is consolidating its two Coshocton offices to better serve the community, the bank said in a letter to local customers.
Park National Bank operates a branch at Dowtowner Plaza, which has been open since 1980, and a branch at 229 N. Third St., which opened in 2017. Both were formerly Century National Bank.
An email from the Tribune to Coshocton branch manager Rebecca Porteus for further comment went unanswered.
The letter said the Downtowner Plaza location will close on April 8 and all services will be available at the Third Street office.
The move is made after analysis of customer preferences. This includes more people relying on digital banking for routine transactions. The idea is to concentrate resources in the most recent installation.
“The Coshocton North office features a newer office interior with plenty of space to comfortably handle your day-to-day banking needs, private parking, four lanes of drive-thru and a new ATM,” the letter reads.
The letter also mentioned the increased opening hours of the north office last summer. It is now open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Those with safe deposit boxes at the Plaza branch are asked to remove the contents by March 31. Other customers will not see any changes to their accounts, the letter says.
While the letter didn’t specify the personnel changes, it did say the teams were merging and clients would see some familiar faces in the north office.
Anyone with questions about the change is asked to call the bank at 740-622-4455.
