The SpeakGuru Foundation launches a personal accident plan

Developing its humanitarian services beyond helping children living with cancer and conserving flora and fauna, the SpeakGuru Foundation ventures into launching the “MonAram Personal Accident Plan” for people through Nagaland where they can benefit from medical treatment up to Rs 5000 in clinics and hospitals empaneled in I have just subscribed to a health package of Rs 500 for a year.
Under the slogan “Your MonAram is our MonKhushi” MonAram is a social impact initiative of the SpeakGuru Foundation to provide basic health care protection to everyone in Nagaland. Speaking to Morung Express in an exclusive interview, Founder of the SpeakGuru Foundation, Kenei Kuotsu, said, “We want to connect people to hospitals and private clinics. They can go to any of the clinics / hospitals set up and instantly receive medical treatment up to Rs 5000 without paying cash.
“Anyone can buy the health care plan for Rs.500 for a year,” he said while adding that “we did it for cancer patients, but it’s about time SpeakGuru sort and serve the community at large “. There is more in the health care plan even if it emphasizes that in the event of accidental death, they can benefit up to Rs 50,000. “We can not do anything in the event of death, but at least this amount can help with funeral costs, ”he said.
The other thing covered by the plan is dental accident where they can receive dental treatment up to Rs 2000 without paying cash. In this regard, MonAram initially partnered with a dental clinic in Kohima, while other hospitals and clinics are also being identified in places like Dimapur and Mokokchung. “We want to start with trusted hospitals / clinics as a first step,” he added.
The concept of insurance does not exist in the state, Kuotsu argued, but he is also quick to point out that MonAram is NOT an insurance company. “This is a social impact initiative of SpeakGuru, and in doing so, we are only helping each other,” he explained. Stressing that the pooling is so important that we can help everyone, he added that “someday something will happen to you, we will take money out of this pool for your treatment”.
MonAram will officially launch in January next year, and affordable healthcare plans can be used through an app under development. Once people download the app, he informed, “they will see the list of hospitals / clinics associated with MonAram. It’s a very light app, we don’t want to complicate it and they can get electronic medical card for cashless treatment.
“We also have a QR code, and if you scan it there is an interest form (interest form (google.com). At the moment we also want to see how many people will be interested in the health package. MonAram is hiring Dreamz Unlimited more for a short video.
Previously, MonAram had reached the Top 3 for the first edition of the Hackathon, organized by StartUp Nagaland in partnership with the Department of Industries and Commerce and Educentre School of Business.
